What can you expect when you take an internship with the TSL Marketing Creative Department or our Human Resources Department?


For Marketing – You’ll get a hands-on experience with today’s most essential marketing practices. We have internships from social media to SEO, inbound marketing, web development, copywriting, graphic design, and beyond. As TSL Marketing is a business to business organization, this is a great opportunity to work on multiple customer campaigns versus other internships where you work solely on the employer’s marketing. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Our highly collaborative team loves to have fun while developing world-class creative work for our clients and customers.

You will enjoy the same collaborative culture when you have a Human Resources internship with us. A recent Human Resource intern raved about our program versus his two prior internships. He appreciated our interactive approach as he obtained real world experience, learning to think, speak and even interview candidates – like an HR professional.

Graphic Design:

Assist with creation of computer based design projects using various tools


  • Photoshop
  • Adobe In Design
  • Comfortable hand-coding HTML documents
  • Aware of cross-browser issues
  • Strong comprehension of design fundamentals and naturally conceptualize ideas with creative direction
  • Should be comfortable with Microsoft Windows or Macintosh

Web Developer:

Assist with creation of marketing projects through work on websites. Attend creative team meetings and client facing meetings and utilize your existing computer and software knowledge and experience.

  • Should be comfortable with Microsoft Windows or Macintosh

Intern may be called upon to write articles for TSL or TSL clients on a variety of topics. This may include websites, social media channels, blogs, e-mails or other marketing communication.


  • Aptitude to learn IT quickly
  • Knowledge of IT and marketing degree a plus.
  • Writing degree is ideal
  • Writing samples are helpful and/or an ability to create writing samples as part of the interview process.

Digital/Inbound Marketing:

Works closely with  Market Manager on building out social calendars for clients, creating emails and landing pages for clients. Some light copy and design task. This is a fast paced position and requires great attention to detail.


  • A Major in Marketing
  • Aptitude to learn quickly

  • Ideally, knowledgeable on at least two or three: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+

Marketing Operations:

Coordinate marketing campaigns with attention to both milestones, and details as you manage varied and competing priorities. You are a driven organizer who can work well with people in a fast paced environment.


  • Ability to keep a strong sense of balance when faced with daily and ongoing project deadlines
  • Strong comprehension of design fundamentals and naturally conceptualize ideas with creative direction
  • Must be proficient in Macintosh OS, MS Word
  • Business or Marketing degree

Human Resources:

Support the Human Resources Department in our Columbia, MD office working on HR projects. The ideal candidate will ideally have high interest in human resources but may also be in the general business arena. Duties may include assisting with aspects of recruitment (interviewing, respond to inquiries, application data/file management), assist with New Hire Packets, attend and assist with job fairs and recruiting events, respond to all employment inquiries in a timely manner, create and maintain job descriptions/tracking log/online files,  and work on special projects as assigned.SKILLS:
