How TSL Helped an
MSP Generate Revenue
from Online Leads

[ The Challenge ]

DP Solutions is a customer-focused IT solutions company with a mission to provide secure and innovative service to a wide range of clients. With a rapidly growing number of managed service providers (MSPs) populating the marketplace, DP Solutions needed to optimize its website to generate better-qualified leads at a greater volume. In addition, competing MSPs placed higher in keyword rankings, creating a great need for the company to boost its own organic search results. Before partnering with TSL, DP Solutions’ search results for MSP-specific keywords were outside the top 100.

Although DP Solutions and TSL have collaborated since 2010, many of the B2B sales and marketing initiatives that were launched did not focus on SEO, SEM, or website optimization. Seeing this gap in the marketing mix, the partnership shifted focus in 2016 so that DP Solutions could generate new organic leads through its website to create a more competitive advantage.

[ The Solution ]

TSL provided DP Solutions with a combination of inbound marketing tactics to help drive traffic to the website and convert visitors into leads. The company purchased a HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional license, and TSL, a 10-year veteran platinum partner of HubSpot, was able to provide management and support for apps such as email, forms, lists, tasks, and workflows. Additionally, TSL served as consultants for the DP Solutions websites by managing its content, landing pages, and blog through HubSpot.

When it came to SEO, TSL took a deep dive into DP Solutions’ conversions to get a sense of why web traffic was increasing but not leading to a better conversion rate. After further investigation, TSL’s SEO experts discovered that instead of funneling prospects through content or a free assessment offer, good conversions were coming from the Contact page. Armed with this new information, the TSL team decided to build a series of clear and compelling CTAs that route visitors to the Request a Proposal page to get more balanced conversions.

In another example of optimizing already-existing website content, TSL worked with DP Solutions to update its IT Terminology Glossary with more advanced terminology that prospects in the industries they serve would likely search for. These efforts to optimize the page soon became a major driver of organic traffic for the company.
