About the Role

TSL Marketing is hiring a Senior SEO Strategist to lead organic, local, AI SEO, and content strategies across a portfolio of B2B technology clients. Our customers primarily include managed service providers (MSPs), IT services firms, cybersecurity companies, cloud providers, and other B2B technology organizations. 

This is a mid-to-senior-level role for someone who brings deep SEO expertise, strong content strategy experience, and is ahead of the curve with AI SEO / AEO / GEO. This role goes beyond execution — you will own strategy, guide content direction, make recommendations confidently, and collaborate across disciplines to drive qualified organic lead growth for our clients.

TSL specializes in marketing for B2B technology companies with complex offerings and long sales cycles. As a Senior SEO Strategist, you will work with clients such as:

  • Managed IT Service Providers (MSPs)

  • IT consulting and outsourced IT firms

  • Cybersecurity providers

  • Cloud services and SaaS companies

  • Other B2B technology and infrastructure organizations 

These clients require SEO and content strategies that balance technical accuracy, thought leadership, and conversion-driven outcomes. 

What You'll Do

Job Title: Sr. SEO Strategist

Location: US | Remote 

SEO, AI Search & Content Strategy

  • Own integrated organic, local, AI SEO, and content strategies for multiple client accounts.

  • Define content strategies rooted in keyword research, search intent, buyer journey mapping, and AI visibility opportunities.

  • Develop recommendations focused on AI answer extraction, entity clarity, topical authority, and content structure optimized for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

  • Monitor AI search behavior across platforms including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, and Perplexity to identify emerging visibility opportunities for clients.

  • Identify content gaps and opportunities across client websites and key third-party platforms.

  • Stay current on evolving AI search signals including EEAT, LLM visibility, and structured data best practices.

  • Create SEO, CRO, and AI SEO opportunities into concise page, content, schema, directory, and internal linking recommendations.

  • Build 90-day roadmaps that connect visibility work to conversions/ lead quality, pipeline impact, and client priorities.  

Client-Facing Strategy Leadership 

  • Lead client conversations around SEO and content direction, priorities, and performance.

  • Present strategic roadmaps, reports, insights, and recommendations with confidence.

  • Partner with Account Managers, Content, UX, and Development teams to align strategy with business goals.

  • Create executive ready QBR summaries, slide talking points, and clear next step recommendations. 

Content Planning & Optimization 

  • Create and guide SEO-driven content plans including blogs, web pages, landing pages, and local content.

  • Write and/or provide detailed recommendations for Google Business Profile content, meta descriptions, page titles, header structures (H1–H3), and on-page copy improvements.

  • Ensure content supports rankings, AI extractability, lead generation, and conversion goals.

  • Create SEO/CRO page outlines with metadata, header guidance, FAQs, answer blocks, internal links, & copy direction to help copywriters where needed. 

Technical & Platform Collaboration 

  • Make on-page edits, publish content, and implement SEO updates directly in WordPress and HubSpot CMS without requiring developer assistance.

  • Collaborate with developers and digital strategists on broader SEO and content implementation.

  • Support technical SEO troubleshooting and implementation planning.

  • Audit redirects, canonicals, indexation, sitemaps, crawlability, page speed/ Core Web Vitals, internal links, and publishing QA.

  • Review site architecture, navigation labels, parent/child page structure, and sitemap organization for SEO and AI retrieval. 

Reporting & Measurement 

  • Analyze performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Data Studio, SEMrush, and HubSpot tools.

  • Measure success beyond rankings, including organic leads, engagement, AI visibility signals, and search appearance in LLM-powered environments.

  • Contribute to evolving how TSL reports on AI search visibility for clients.

  • Segment branded vs non-branded performance and connect SEO movement to leads, forms, conversion paths, and revenue influence.

  • Turn data from GSC, GA4, HubSpot, Looker Studio, SEMrush/ Ahrefs, and AI visibility tools into client ready insights. 

Who We're Looking For

  • Mid-to-senior-level SEO professional with strong content strategy experience and proven results — typically 4–7+ years of hands-on experience.

  • Agency experience or comfort managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.

  • Comfortable working with technical B2B subject matter and translating it into effective search and content strategies.

  • Strategist mindset with the confidence to lead recommendations and own outcomes.

  • Genuinely excited about AI SEO trends — you follow the space closely and have opinions on where it’s heading.

  • Communicates proactively, documents recommendations clearly, and collaborates well in a remote-first team environment. You don’t need to be managed, but you enjoy being part of a team. 


Required Skills & Tools 

  • SEO-driven content strategy and editorial planning

  • Google Analytics, Google Search Console, & Google Tag Manager (installing/ setup & general use)

  • Data Studio

  • SEMrush, including AI visibility toolkit

  • WordPress and/or HubSpot CMS (hands-on, not just conceptual)

  • SEO-optimized copywriting and content guidance

  • Familiarity with AI SEO concepts: AEO, GEO, AI Overviews, LLM visibility, entity-based SEO, EEAT

  • Technical SEO QA, including redirects, canonicals, crawlability, page speed, and indexation.

  • Local SEO, GBP optimization, citation cleanup, and directory/ entity authority building

  • CRO and UX review for landing pages, forms, CTAs, and conversion paths

  • Executive reporting, QBR storytelling, and client presentation support 

Beneficial Skills & Experience

  • PPC & Google Ads Strategy

    • Analyze paid search performance to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates, lead quality, cost efficiency, and overall campaign effectiveness.

    • Build and optimize PPC campaigns including keyword targeting, audience segmentation, ad copy development, bidding strategies, and landing page alignment.

    • Provide strategic recommendations for budget allocation, campaign expansion, remarketing, and cross-channel search visibility improvements.

    • Apply working knowledge of PPC and paid media to inform holistic search strategies.

  • Schema markup, structured data, and entity SEO implementation

  • Experience with prompt-based search and Search Generative Experience (SGE) optimization

  • Prior experience in B2B technology, IT services, MSP, or SaaS marketing

  • HubSpot Marketing Hub and CMS (certification a plus)

  • Ahrefs, BrightLocal, AI visibility tracking, citation platforms, and third-party directory optimization.

  • Experience with community and authority building channels such as Reddit, partner marketplaces, vendor directories (G2, Clutch, Cloudtango, etc.)
