Notes:
Landing pages, emails, and forms should all be named using this structure unless the client has their own nomenclature process (like Broadcom). Some variation is acceptable. 
 
Landing Page or Email Nomenclature:
Campaign | Content Offer | Content Type 
Example Landing Page:
Campaign Name: Customer Retention
Content Offer: Onboarding eBook
Content Type: Landing Page (LP)
Content Name: “Customer Retention – Onboarding eBook – LP”
 
Content types: LP, TYP, Email, TYE 
 
Form Nomenclature:
Campaign Name | Content Offer
Example of Form Name:
Campaign Name: Customer Retention
Content Offer: Onboarding eBook
Form Name: “Customer Retention – Onboarding eBook"

 

How to Create a New Hubspot Form

HubSpot Knowledge Base:

  1. Once logged into HubSpot, go to Marketing -> Lead Capture -> Forms.
  2. Click the button in the top right corner called “Create form.”
  3. Select “Blank template.” Click “Start.”
  4. At the top of the page, click the “New form… “ default text and update the name to the offer the form will be gating.
  5. To add a field, use the search bar on the left to find the contact or company property you’d like to add.
  6. To add or remove the GDPR consent checkbox, go to the “Notice and Consent …” section in the “Add form field” section and select “None” or another option. (GDPR consent is required for pages that will be advertised in Canada, Europe, and other countries.)
  7. Go to the “Options” tab.
  8. Leave “What should happen after a visitor submits this form” to the default “Display a thank you message.” You will assign a thank you page (redirect page) during the landing page build process.
  9. Check the box “Send submission email notifications to the contact’s owner.”
  10. “Send submission email notifications to…” field can be left blank since you can assign this on the landing page the form will reside on.
  11. Leave everything else with the default settings and click “Publish.”


How to Clone an Existing Form (And Update Settings)

  1. Once logged into HubSpot, go to Marketing -> Lead Capture -> Forms.
  2. Hover over the form you would like to clone. 
  3. Click the "Actions" button.
  4. Select "clone form."
  5. Name the new form. Click "Clone."
  6. Go to the "Options" tab.
  7. Leave “What should happen after a visitor submits this form” to the default “Display a thank you message.” You will assign a thank you page (redirect page) during the landing page build process.
  8. Check the box “Send submission email notifications to the contact’s owner.”
  9. “Send submission email notifications to…” field can be left blank since you can assign this on the landing page the form will reside on.
  10. Leave everything else with the default settings and click “Publish.”
